====== Exporting Data from Gmail/Google ======
===== Using Google Takeout =====

  - Go to [[https://www.google.com/settings/takeout]]
  - Select the data you want 
  - Scroll to the bottom and select **Next**
  - Select **email** delivery
  - Click on **Create Archive** 
  - Once you get the email from **Google Takeout** click on the link and download the files

===== Viewing Mbox Files =====
  - Download [[https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/importexporttools/|Import/Export Tools]] from mozilla addons
  - Start Thunderbird and install the xpi file from addons.org
  - Select **Local Folders** and go to **Tools->ImportExportTools->Import mbox file**
  - Select the mbox file you downloaded from **Google Takeout**
  - Let thunderbird work in importing your mail (this could take a while)
