===== Form 470 - (Competitive Bidding) =====
  * will be open for 28 days
  * can post as early as July 4
  * phasing phone systems out
  * phone/voice must be filed every year
  * 470 does not need to be filed every year for multi-year agreements (only on renewals)
  * up to three years is recommended
  * on spam proposals refer vendors to 470 with form number
  * keep copies of all bids and score sheets, document single bids
  * E-Rate documentation must be keep for **10 years**
  * E-Rate equipment must be kept for 3 years
  * MN requires a RFP for purchases when the contract larger than $100K

===== Form 471 - Application =====
  * Need free and reduced lunch information
  * 471 is used to selection contracts and bidders
  * for audit process it is safer to go by Oct. free and reduced lunch data
  * program integrity review => 15 day review process
  * as soon as you get funding commitment letter **(FCL)** file form 486
  * you have 120 days from July 1st or date the service starts
  * you have 15 days correct errors in **FCL**
  * file BEAR form quarterly => you might need to file to receive money

===== Child Internet Protection Act =====
  * Internet filtering
  * Internet AUP
  * Internet safety student education
  * only students need to be filtered
  * no requirement to filter off campus

===== Category 2 Funding =====
  * $150 per student over five years period beginning at 2015 of the pre-discount costs
  * budget is allocated by school site, not the district
  * available to all Free and Reduced lunch levels
  * budget is adjusted up and down depending on student poplation
