can hide apps from homescreen
can configure homescreen page 1 and dock

Lost Mode

allows for geo-location of device
turns on location services even if turned off
puts device in low power mode
push notification, needs some sort of network access

Shared Use iPads

can log into a device
uses a managed Apple id
can login by passcode
only on newest iPad and needs 32GB or more storage
all data is cached first then transferred to iCloud
MDM must support iPad sharing
requires apple school manager
uses caching server to help with iCloud data transfers
restricted to MDM organization/school
Apps that are not cloudaware will not have it's data replicated
iPAds sharing is done only during enrollment in MDM platform

iPad Air and higher
iPad Mini
iPad Pro
need device to device wifi
need bluetooth turned on
need a MDM to support classroom
can open apps on student ipads
can open URLs
can lock ipads
can see student iPads screens
managed apple id are not required
teacher control of ipads will be released in 20 secs when bluetooth communication is lost
