web_services:openfile_upgrade
Openfire Upgrade (Ubuntu)
- stop openfire (/usr/local/openfire/bin/openfire stop)
- Download the tar.gz new release from Ignite
- Backup ./conf and ./embedded-db from the current openfire directory (/usr/local/openfire)
- move the openfire directory out of the way by either renaming or deleting it.
- extract the file you downloaded in step #2
- mv the ./conf and ./embedded-db directories from step #3 into the new openfire directory
- start openfire (/usr/local/openfire/bin/openfire start)
